STEM Nola: STEM Nola is an organization founded by New Orleans native, and former tenured Tulane University Engineering Professor, Dr. Calvin Mackie. The purpose of its existence is to expose, inspire and engage members in the surrounding communities about the opportunities in STEM. STEM Nola will design and deliver activities, programs & events that bring inspiration, motivation and training to all STEM stakeholders, specifically focusing on underserved communities, across the city.

The Futures Fund: The Futures Fund is a workforce development program designed with the mission to create digital, literary, visual, and performing arts-based entrepreneurial opportunities for middle to high school aged youth. It provides students with training in the arts under the guidance of paid professionals and volunteers with industry-specific expertise. Our Saturday training programs are research-driven and based on best practices to prepare creative-minded youth for revenue-generating opportunities in their selected arts discipline. In this second year of operation, we continue to offer two of the four disciplines – digital and visual arts.

Brick City Engineers Camp: Let’s build a CITY!  There are many different types of engineering jobs, and building is one of the most fun!  What would a city be without the architects and engineers who come up with the ideas, plans, and building skills to make it all come together?  Campers will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO Bricks.  The sky’s the limit when campers are challenged to use their own ideas and skills to build a skyscraper taller than their heads!  They will have a blast using custom-built cars to move the people of the city all around town- brick by brick!
What an accomplishment to be able to proudly exclaim “We built this BRICK City!”   At the end of the week, all campers will go home with a custom LEGO® Minifigure! Alexandria, Bossier City, Shreveport, Covington, Mandeville, New Orleans, Metairie, Baton Rouge, Houma, Thibodeaux, Lafayette, West Monroe, Ruston
